The season of Lent is almost upon us.  We’ve had Food Pantry food drives for condiments the last two years during Lent and the donations have been awesome!  We’ve got an even bigger need now, though, so we are switching gears.  We’re always in need of the 3 C’s (cereal, condiments, and crackers) but at present, boxes of crackers is what we run out of the most.  Beginning on Ash Wednesday (February 14) through Maundy Thursday (March 28), we will journey 40 days to the cross.  To help with the tradition of fasting or service, we would ask you to consider participating in 40 Days…40 Boxes of Crackers for our Food Pantry.  Can you help us help others? For every day of Lent, donate any non-perishable food item, but preferably boxes of crackers.  Some examples are saltine crackers, ritz crackers, packs of nabs, butter crackers, animal crackers, cheese crackers, and wheat thins. Bring your items each week and place them in the Food Pantry bin in the Craven lobby or in the Food Pantry box next to the handicapped lift near the sanctuary.  Thanks for supporting the Food Pantry and Happy Lent!
