GARY@MAPLESPRINGS.ORG

Gary previously served as Associate Pastor at Maple Springs from 2016 – 2020.  After being appointed to another church in 2020 he returned to Maple Springs as Senior Pastor in 2023.  His passion for ministry includes many outreach ministry opportunities, short term mission trips, and meeting people “where they are” in life.  He and his wife Judy have four young adult children, and a house full of cats and dogs!

Gary is a graduate of Wake Forest University and spent 26 years in the business world before answering the call to ordained ministry. Returning to the classroom later in life, he then graduated from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and has served in the Western North Carolina Conference as an ordained elder since 2008.

Gary’s prayer is for Maple Springs to be a beacon of light for the community, a place where everyone can experience the love of Jesus.  His hope is for everyone to  embrace and be embraced by the beautiful mystery of God’s love.

REV. VICKY DENG

chinese pastor

VICKY@MAPLESPRINGS.ORG

Maple Springs has been the home church for Pastor Vicky and her husband Andy since they came to Winston-Salem from Raleigh in 2007.   With their busy church schedule, they may not see their own children (2) and grandchildren (5) as often as they would like to, but at Maple Springs, there are plenty of families in Christ.  As the pastor ministering to the Chinese community, Pastor Vicky has enjoyed getting to know many friends from far and near, young and old.  God has allowed her to be a part in the amazing spiritual formation in the lives of these friends.  Pastor Vicky’s prayer is that Maple Springs keeps the faith and continues to minister to future generations as God has called us.
